I think Celsius is as good a scale as anything. Since 1984, I have been using Celsius, as there were, and still are, themometers with both scales. Kelvin is for more extreme temperatures.

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree. In my opinion, these girls didn’t throw the game, nor did they say that the rules didn’t matter.

First of all, as per the rules, a pinch runner could have come in for Tucholsky. The home-run would have been negated and the hit would have been scored as a 2-run single; there would have been a runner on 1st. Also, it was only the second inning and Central Washington had ample opportunity to overcome the deficit and win the game.

Second, there is no rule stating that the opposing team cannot help the base-runner. Therefore, no rule was broken or disregarded.

Lastly, I don’t see how this diminishes women’s sports or makes them any less credible. In many ways, something like this makes them better.

Thanks for the comment, Jack. Normally I would agree with you, but I guess what bothers me is when people cloak their ignorance in pseudo-scientific terms and try to convince people they really know what they are talking about.

Wow big surprise here Florida has passed teachers to be able to criticize the theory of evolution:
